David Beckham's Miami 'want Everton's Tim Howard'

Everton and USA keeper Tim Howard emerges as a target for David Beckham's new MLS franchise in Miami, according to a report.

Everton keeper Tim Howard is reportedly set to be David Beckham's first signing for his MLS franchise in Miami.

The former England captain, who played in North America with the Los Angeles Galaxy for six years, has been charged with setting up a new team in the Sunshine State.

According to The People, Beckham has earmarked USA international Howard as someone who can lead the new team during its early stages.

Everton are said to be bracing themselves for a bid for their number one, who joined the Toffees from Manchester United in 2007.

The Blues are currently ninth in the Premier League ahead of their trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
