Everton have reportedly targeted Ajax stopper Jasper Cillessen as a possible long-term replacement for Tim Howard.
Veteran American Howard announced recently that he would be leaving the Toffees at the end of the season to return to MLS and play for the Colorado Rapids.
Although Howard has lost his number-one spot in recent months to Joel Robles, Everton are pursuing a new top-level keeper and recently sent scouts to watch Cillessen play for Ajax, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The paper goes on to say that Ajax would expect a fee of around £10m for the 26-year-old, who made his 24th appearance at international level last night in the Netherlands' 3-2 friendly defeat to France.
Everton are also said to be keeping tabs on Burnley stopper Tom Heaton.
