Everton are reportedly plotting a move for Stoke City central defender Harry Souttar, after recently scouting the Australian international.
The 22-year-old has made 10 appearances in the Championship so far this campaign, helping his side climb to fourth in the table after a positive start to the new season.
According to The Sun, Toffees coach Duncan Ferguson was recently spotted on a scouting trip to the Bet365 Stadium, with Souttar believed to be the reason for his visit.
The report claims that the defender is being lined up as a potential replacement for the Colombian Yerry Mina, with the former Barcelona man being linked with a move to Italy in the future.
After moving to the Potters from Dundee United in 2016, Souttar spent various loan spells away from the club, before becoming a first-team regular last season, when he made 38 appearances.
Souttar was part of the side that beat previously-unbeaten West Bromwich Albion 1-0 on Friday in Championship action, ahead of the two-week international break.
