Everton have reportedly stepped up their interest in Lille defender Adama Soumaoro.
The 25-year-old has come up through the ranks of the Ligue 1 club and has made five appearances this season after missing the early stages of the campaign with an injury.
Lille are believed to be struggling financially at present and, with Soumaoro valued at over £20m, the Great Danes may potentially be looking to cash in on their asset in January.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton have watched Soumaoro in recent weeks and have compiled favourable reports as manager Sam Allardyce looks to strengthen his squad in the New Year.
West Ham United, Monaco and Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be interested in the versatile Frenchman.
