Joel Robles is hopeful of leaving Everton this summer for a return to boyhood club Getafe, according to the Spanish club's president Angel Torres.
The 27-year-old has fallen further down the Goodison Park pecking order following the arrival of Jordan Pickford this summer, a year on from Maarten Stekelenburg being recruited.
Robles wrested back the goalkeeping jersey from Stekelenburg last season but failed to truly impress supporters, with boss Ronald Koeman giving him the green light to seek a move away after four years at the club.
Getafe chief Torres revealed to Radio Marca that talks are ongoing regarding a summer transfer, although it is likely to initially be on a season-long loan.
Robles spent time in Getafe's junior ranks as a youngster before moving to Atletico Madrid in 2007, where he would spend the next six years.
