Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has guaranteed manager David Moyes that there will be money to spend in the January transfer window.
The Toffees were the only Premier League club not to spend any money during the summer, with Moyes's transfer activity limited to the loan captures of Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi.
However, the Merseyside club recouped money from the departures of Mikel Arteta, Yakubu and Jermaine Beckford and Kenwright suggests that some of this money will go back into building the squad.
"There will be not a lot of money in terms of what other clubs are spending on centre-forwards but there will be money," Kenwright said.
"There will be investment in January."
Earlier today, Kenwright revealed that he was trying to find a buyer for the club.
