Report: Everton close to Enner Valencia deal

A report claims that West Ham United forward Enner Valencia nears a loan move to Everton after turning down Swansea City.

West Ham United striker Enner Valencia is reportedly close to joining Everton on an initial loan deal.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton have beaten Swansea City to the signing of the Ecuador international, who will have the option to join the Toffees for a figure in the region of £14.5m in the summer of 2017.

Valencia, 26, joined West Ham from Mexican side Pachuca in 2014 and has scored 10 times in 64 appearances for the Hammers, but has not yet registered in four matches at the start of the 2016-17 campaign.

The Toffees are also believed to be pursing Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko with a view to a late deadline-day move.
