Troyes have slipped to the bottom of the Ligue 1 table as they lost 2-0 to Evian Thonon Gaillard away from home.
The result also saw Evian climb out of the relegation zone and go three points clear of the bottom three.
The hosts were in control of the match right from the start and went ahead on the half-hour mark when Cedric Barbosa fired in after being set up by Kevin Berigaud.
Djakaridja Kone almost made it 2-0 to Evian just a minute later when he took a shot on the Troyes goal from outside the box, but goalkeeper Yohann Thuram-Ulien made a good save.
Evian's domination of proceedings at Parc des Sports continued in the second half, as Barbosa, Aldo Angoula, Kone, Saber Khlifa and Yannick Sagbo all had attempts on the visitors' goal before the hour mark.
Pascal Dupraz's side eventually made it 2-0 in the 71st minute, Barbosa once again finding the target with a right-footed shot from the centre of the Troyes penalty box.
