FC Twente ease past AZ in KNVB Beker quarter-finals

Hakim Ziyech scores twice as Twente ease into the last four of the KNVB Beker with a 3-0 win over AZ.

FC Twente have booked their place in the KNVB Beker semi-finals by easing to a 3-0 victory over AZ at De Grolsch Veste this evening.

Luc Castaignos gave Twente the lead in the 24th minute when he was picked out at the back post, before firing in a volley from close range.

With a minute of the first half remaining, the hosts scored a second as Hakim Ziyech worked some room on the edge of the box and bent a strike into the bottom corner.

Just past the hour mark Ziyech further extended Twente's lead with a powerful finish into the top corner that left the keeper with no chance.

The hosts then saw out the rest of the match with relative ease to confirm their place in the last four of the Cup.
