Mark Uth hat-trick secures victory for Heerenveen

Heerenveen defeat FC Utrecht 3-1 courtesy of Mark Uth's hat-trick at the Abe Lenstra Stadion.

Mark Uth struck a hat-trick for Heerenveen to help them overcome FC Utrecht 3-1 at the Abe Lenstra Stadion.

The home side took just three minutes to get off the mark as Uth fired home following a free kick to leave Rider Asare with little chance.

Uth doubled his side's advantage in the second half when Kenny Otigba burst through before picking him out, leaving Utrecht with a mountain to climb.

Willem Janssen pulled one back for the visitors in added time, but there was still time for Uth to complete his hat-trick, with De Superfriezen holding out to secure the three points which takes them above their opponents in the early Eredivisie standings.
