FC Utrecht narrowly edge past FC Twente

FC Utrecht secure a narrow 1-0 win against FC Twente in Sunday afternoon's Eredivisie clash at the Stadion Galgenwaard.

FC Utrecht have secured a narrow 1-0 win against FC Twente in this afternoon's Eredivisie clash at the Stadion Galgenwaard.

Following a goalless first half, the hosts took the lead in the 55th minute when Sebastien Haller headed home from a corner.

Utrecht could have been further ahead moments later through the same player, but this time Nick Marsman was able to pull off a save.

Twente fought back through Hakim Ziyech's free kick, which was put out for a corner, following by efforts from Felipe Gutierrez and Andreas Bjelland that nearly levelled proceedings.

Ultimately, however, the visitors were not able to conjure up an equaliser as Utrecht secured all three points.
