FC Utrecht held by ADO Den Haag

FC Utrecht are held to a goalless draw at home to ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie.

FC Utrecht have missed the chance to move into the European places with a goalless draw at home to ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie.

The visitors had a good opportunity to take the lead during the opening stages, but Michiel Kramer fired over the crossbar from close range.

Both teams struggled to take control of the match for the remainder of what was a scrappy first half, though Mike van Duinen almost put Den Haag in front when his effort was tipped around the post.

The two sides continued to find life difficult after the break, with a lack of creativity and control in midfield dictating play.

The chances had all but dried up come the final stages of the match, and the game eventually finished without a goal.
