Feyenoord have completed the signing of former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz on a one-year contract.
The 32-year-old, who has also played for the likes of Hamburg and Stuttgart, had been a free agent for a short period of time following his release by Danish outfit Brondby.
"He is very fit and in addition can be used in several positions in the defence," Feyenoord's director Martin van Geel told the club's official website.
"With his experience and skills he can also be of great value for the development of the younger players in our selection. We see Khalid a very welcome reinforcement for this team."
Boulahrouz has joined a club that is expected to soon be short of defensive options, with Bruno Martins Indi, Stefan de Vrij, and Daryl Janmaat all likely to leave before the start of the new season.
