Fiorentina midfielder Massimo Ambrosini has declared that he was delighted with the welcome he received from La Viola fans after completing a summer switch from AC Milan.
Ambrosini ended an 18-year stretch with Milan when his contract expired at the end of last season, moving to Serie A rivals Fiorentina on a one-year contract.
The 36-year-old has declared that he plans to repay the faith shown in him by Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella, while also thanking the club's supporters for a memorable welcome.
He told reporters: "Florence has bewitched me. I was greeted very well and I want to thank the Florentines for this.
"I hope to repay the trust of the people throughout the season."
Montella's side have taken seven points from a possible nine in Serie A so far this season, with Ambrosini making three appearances in all competitions.
