Tuesday's Copa Libertadores predictions including Flamengo vs. Millonarios

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Copa Libertadores fixtures, including Flamengo vs. Millonarios.

Junior vs. Botafogo (Tuesday, 11.00pm)

Neck-and-neck in the Copa Libertadores Group D standings, Atletico Junior and Botafogo vie for first place in Tuesday's finale in Barranquilla.

Both sides are already guaranteed to advance to the knockout rounds of South America's premier tournament, but it is the hosts who are currently on course to qualify in first position.

We say: Atletico Junior 1-2 Botafogo

The arrival of Jorge has triggered a serious upturn in fortunes for Botafogo, who boast the tournament's most potent centre-forward in Santos and have hit a rich vein of form domestically and continentally.

Atletico Junior have tended to keep their games close in Group D and should not deviate from that trend here, but it should be the Lone Star celebrating a narrow triumph at full time, one which will see them through in first place at their hosts' expense.

LDU Quito vs. Universitario (Tuesday, 11.00pm)

Fighting for the right to play Copa Sudamericana football for the remainder of the year, LDU Quito and Universitario conclude their Copa Libertadores Group D campaign at Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado on Tuesday.

Neither side can force their way into the top two of the four-team section with just one game remaining, but the Peruvian side are currently in control of their third-placed destiny, albeit only just.

We say: LDU Quito 1-1 Universitario

An encounter as closely-fought as the standings would suggest should be in store on Tuesday, as Quito are ostensibly enjoying the new manager bounce but are still finding their feet under Hurtado's leadership.

The free-scoring Ache can certainly make an inconsistent Universitario tremble, but the Peruvian champions have found a streak of defensive resilience and can hold out for the draw required to save their continental bacon in the Copa Sudamericana.

Atletico Mineiro vs. Caracas (Tuesday, 11.00pm)

Already assured of a place in the Copa Libertadores knockout rounds, Atletico Mineiro welcome Caracas to Arena MRV for their closing Group G fixture on Tuesday evening.

While the Brazilian outfit need just a point to seal top spot, their Venezuelan counterparts have just one point to their name and have been condemned to an early exit.

We say: Atletico Mineiro 3-0 Caracas

The shackles could come off Caracas knowing that nothing they can do on Tuesday will affect their Copa Libertadores fate, and their hosts do not arrive into the final matchweek with the wind in their sails.

However, facing the leakiest defence in the competition is surely a recipe for success for the Brazilian giants, who should top the group and return to victorious ways in ruthless fashion.

Penarol vs. Rosario (Tuesday, 11.00pm)

The final matchday in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores will see Penarol taking on Rosario Central at Estadio Campeon del Siglo on Tuesday night.

Both sides enter this match off the back of league wins over the weekend, with the hosts beating Progreso 3-1 while the visitors overcame Deportivo Riestra 2-0 on the road.

We say: Penarol 2-1 Rosario Central

While Rosario Central won the reverse fixture 1-0 earlier in the competition, they now have to make the trip to Estadio Campeon del Siglo, where Penarol are riding a four-match winning streak in all competitions and have only suffered one defeat in 2024.

After the off-field issues that took place in Rosario back in April, another heated contest is to be expected when these two collide on Tuesday, but we feel that the hosts will come away from the match victorious and will progress to the next round.

Bolivar vs. Palestino (Wednesday, 1.00am)

Making their first-ever trip to Estadio Hernando Siles on Tuesday, Palestino will square off with Bolivar on the final matchday in the group phase of the 2024 Copa Libertadores.

Despite a 4-0 defeat against Flamengo on matchday five, the Bolivians are still well positioned to advance, needing just a single point to finish first in Group E, while Palestino are behind Flamengo for second on goal difference following a 1-1 draw with Millonarios.

We say: Bolivar 2-1 Palestino

The Bolivians always seem to do just enough to win at home, and that should give them a big confidence boost following the one-sided defeat they suffered on matchday five.

Flamengo vs. Millonarios (Wednesday, 1.00am)

A place in the knockout stage of the Copa Libertadores will be on the line for Flamengo as they prepare to face Millonarios on Tuesday at the Maracana in the final group fixture for each team.

Despite their 4-0 victory versus Bolivar, Urubu are clinging to second place in Group E on goal difference, narrowly above Palestino, who played to a 1-1 draw against Millonarios on matchday five, ending the Colombians' chances of making the last 16.

We say: Flamengo 3-0 Millonarios

While it is unusual to see Flamengo potentially on the brink of elimination at this stage, we believe their experience in win-or-go-home scenarios, along with their strong form at home, will enable them to prolong their Libertadores adventure into the last 16.
