Team News: Karim Benzema, Patrice Evra, Raphael Varane return for France

France manager Didier Deschamps resists the temptation to experiment as he names a strong side for their international friendly at home to Armenia.

France have named a strong side for their international friendly at home to Armenia this evening, although Paul Pogba misses out through injury.

Raphael Varane returns at centre-back to replace Eliaquim Mangala, who started in the 2-1 victory over Serbia last month.

Patrice Evra, Yohan Cabaye and Karim Benzema also return to the starting XI, although there is no place for Juventus midfielder Pogba after he sprained an ankle in training.

Lassana Diarra has returned from the international wilderness to make his first start for France in over five years.

Armenia are captained by Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who will earn his 55th international cap this evening.

France: Lloris; Sagna, Varane, Sakho, Evra; Cabaye, Diarra, Matuidi; Griezmann, Benzema, Valbuena

Armenia: Kasparov; Andonian, Voskanyan, Hovhannisyan, Hambartsumyan; Hayrapetyan, Mkrtchyan Ghazaryan, Yuspashyan; Mkhitaryan; Sarkisov
