Didier Deschamps has reportedly turned down the opportunity to manage the French national team.
The former France international was installed as favourite for the job following Laurent Blanc's resignation over the weekend.
The speculation was fuelled further when Marseille announced this morning that Deschamps had left his role as manager of the club.
However, Deschamps rejected an offer from French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet because of the way that his friend Blanc was treated during his stint in charge, according to RMC.
Deschamps and Blanc were part of the France squad that won the World Cup in 1998.
