Fulham midfielder Derek Boateng has revealed that he is eager to work his way back into the first team at the club.
The summer signing from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk has not featured for the Cottagers since appearing in their opening-day win at Sunderland in the Premier League last month.
"I think I had a good summer, and in the games that I was part of I thought I did well," Boateng told the club's official website. "I'm hopeful that I can get back in the starting XI - I'm certainly working as hard as I can to make that happen.
"But there's a lot of competition for places; Scott Parker, Steve Sidwell and Giorgos Karagounis are all very good players. The most important thing is that we're working together to take the team forward. But when my chance comes, I'm determined to deliver."
Fulham return to action tonight (Tuesday) when they host Everton in round three of the Capital One Cup.
