Aaron Hughes has said that joining Queens Park Rangers for the rest of the season on loan was "too hard to turn down".
The defender had found himself out of favour at Fulham since Rene Meulensteen took over, and is due to be a free agent in the summer.
The 34-year-old Northern Ireland international told the Fulham Chronicle: "This was an opportunity to play games, and when you get that at this stage in my career, and coming into the last few months of my contract, it was too hard to turn down.
"The plan is to do well over the last few months and what happens, happens. I play right-back for my country and I'll play wherever I'm asked."
QPR sit second in the Championship table ahead of this afternoon's games.
