Jazz Richards pleased with Fulham move

Fulham defender Jazz Richards says that he is enjoying playing regular football and credits his move to the club for getting him back into Wales contention.

Former Swansea City defender Jazz Richards has admitted that he is pleased with how his summer move to Championship side Fulham has turned out.

The Welsh international left the Swans after nine years at the Liberty Stadium in search of regular game time after failing to hold down a first-team spot at his hometown club.

The drop down a division has reaped rewards for the 24-year-old as he has been able to finally secure regular playing time, as well as forcing his way back into the Wales national side, and he has revealed his delight at playing first-team football.

"I am playing games now, I am playing week in, week out," he told the South Wales Evening Post. "It is a different philosophy so I have had to change my style of play, but getting experience is going to help anyone.

"Things can change, but I think that I have come in and done a job [for Wales]. I think that is what the gaffer has been looking for and he has kept me in the team. Hopefully that can continue."

Richards has made 14 appearances for Fulham so far this season and also featured for Chris Coleman's national side in the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Cyprus, Israel, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
