Fulham manager Martin Jol was pleased to erase the memories of his side's midweek Europa League disappointment with a 2-0 victory at home to Bolton Wanderers.
Two first-half goals from Clint Dempsey and Bryan Ruiz secured the three points for Jol's side at Craven Cottage.
"The most important thing was the points after the disappointment on Wednesday," the Dutchman told Sky Sports News. "You would like to score the third goal but we didn't do that and gave them the momentum. It was a bit sloppy in midfield. That was the only thing I thought could be corrected."
The Cottagers, who are 11th in the Premier League table, host champions Manchester United on Wednesday evening.
