Former Fulham manager Felix Magath has bought around a 1% stake in Rangers, it has emerged.
The 61-year-old, who has previously guided Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title, purchased the shares at the end of last year.
Despite holding discussions with one of the groups battling for control of the club, Magath is said to have no ambition of succeeding Ally McCoist as manager of the Gers.
However, a report in the Daily Record claims that the German boss does want to help rebuild the club's football infrastructure as technical director.
Magath was sacked by Fulham last September due to a poor start to the season following relegation from the Premier League.
