Martin Jol urges his team to start picking up points ahead of their clash with Blackburn.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has said that his team must start picking up points ahead of their home clash with Blackburn Rovers this afternoon.

The Cottagers, who have secured just one point from their first three fixtures of the season, are in the relegation zone alongside Steve Kean's side.

However, Jol has urged his team not to take the Lancashire outfit any more lightly than any other Premier League side as Blackburn are currently just as desperate as themselves.

"I feel (the need to win) is probably the same as for the opposition," Jol is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail. "We need the points.

"It doesn't matter where you play, we need points and to get out of a situation where we are bottom of the league.

"All the teams that are there will tell you the same so they will try to win and we will try to get the result."

Jol replaced Mark Hughes at Fulham earlier this summer after the Welshman resigned.
