Kit Symons: 'We need three wins to be safe'

Kit Symons believes that three wins will make Fulham safe in the Championship following the loss to Leeds United.

Kit Symons has claimed that his Fulham side will need three more victories to guarantee their Championship status for another season.

A 3-0 loss to Leeds United at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night left Fulham one place and six points above the bottom three, and Symons is relieved that his side's fate is in their hands.

"It's very much in our hands," the Fulham boss told reporters after watching his team extend their winless run to four games.

"We need three more wins and it's down to us to get them - we probably had enough chances to win three games tonight."

Fulham return to action with a trip to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
