Kenwyne Jones earns Cardiff City draw

Cardiff City come from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with Fulham in the Championship as the Cottagers finally get their first point on the board this season.

Kenwyne Jones scored a second-half equaliser to earn Cardiff City a 1-1 draw with Fulham in the Championship this afternoon.

Fulham created a couple of early chances despite the visitors dominating the possession in the opening 20 minutes, with Scott Parker and Ross McCormack both having shots.

Felix Magath's side broke the deadlock midway through the period when a Parker cross fell to Tim Hoogland, who flicked the ball past David Marshall.

McCormack could have doubled the Cottagers' advantage shortly before the break, but his strike came back off the post.

The visitors tried to get back on level terms early in the second half, but a Jones flick on failed to find Adam Le Fondre.

However, Jones found the target himself five minutes later, slipping his shot through the legs of Marcus Bettinelli.

Joe Ralls tried his luck from 25 yards out inside the final five minutes while looking for a late winner for Cardiff, but Bettinelli comfortably stopped the effort.

The result gives Fulham their first point of the campaign.
