Fulham confirm the departure of Neeskens Kebano following the expiry of his contract last month.

Fulham have confirmed that Neeskens Kebano has left the club following the expiry of his contract last month.

Kebano leaves Craven Cottage after registering 24 goals and 18 assists in 160 appearances following his arrival from Genk in 2016.

The 31-year-old, who has earned 34 caps for the Democratic Republic of Congo, is just one of five Fulham players to win promotion on three occasions with the West London club.

Kebano told FFCtv: "My time has come to an end, it doesn't feel like it's been seven years. I enjoyed every single bit of my journey as a Fulham player. Even in the bad moments, there were always positives.

"For the fans, honestly, thank you for the love that you showed me during my time here. I'll never forget you. Fulham forever!"

Vice-chairman Tony Khan added: "Neeskens Kebano has been an important part of the Fulham family since he arrived in 2016. He's made great contributions to our club, both in the Championship and in the Premier League.

"Neeskens is adored by the Fulham supporters and is beloved at our training ground. He's been a great friend to so many people at this club, including his teammates, virtually our entire staff, and me personally.

"I know that he desires to play regularly, and we all wish him well on his next adventure, and we thank him for his great time at Fulham. He'll always be welcome at the Cottage. Thank you, Neeskens!"

Kebano's final season with the Cottagers was heavily disrupted by an Achilles tendon injury, restricting him to 17 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign.

In addition to Genk and Fulham, Kebano has also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Caen, Charleroi and Middlesbrough.

Having spent the entirety of his club career in Europe, the winger is expected to try a new challenge in the UAE Pro League.

According to Football Insider, the winger has already reached an agreement to sign for Al Jazira Club on a free transfer.

Al Jazira, who finished in fifth position last season, recently appointed former Netherlands boss Frank de Boer as their new manager on a two-year deal.
