Former Crystal Palace goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly is on the verge of signing for Fulham.
The 38-year-old has spent the last five years keeping goal for 1860 Munich, who play in the second tier of German football.
However, the Lions have confirmed that Kiraly has accepted Fulham's offer of a return to England.
"It is absolutely understandable that Gabor accepts this unique challenge in the birthplace of football. Out of respect for him, we have complied with his request. Gabor is thoroughly professional on and off the pitch," said the club's sporting director Gehard Poschner.
"In the last five years he has given everything for Sixty. We thank him very much and wish him every success at Fulham."
Meanwhile, West London-bound Kiraly added: "I felt very comfortable here, because Sixty gets under your skin. The Lions are always part of my life. I would like to especially thank our fans who stood by me always."
As well as Palace, Kiraly also turned out for Aston Villa and Burnley during his first stint in England.
