Fulham are reportedly in talks with Brazilian club Bragantino over the potential sale of striker Carlos Vinicius ahead of the summer transfer deadline.

Fulham are reportedly in talks with Bragantino over the potential sale of striker Carlos Vinicius.

The Cottagers have four centre-forward options in their squad, including their current first-choice striker Rodrigo Muniz.

In addition to Vinicius, Silva can also call upon Raul Jimenez and Jay Stansfield, with the latter back at Craven Cottage after spending last season on loan at Birmingham City.

Stansfield scored against his former loan club in Tuesday's EFL Cup tie at St Andrew's, finding the net just four minutes after Jimenez had given the visitors a 10th-minute lead.

Silva seemingly views Jimenez and Stansfield as his main alternative options to Muniz, leaving Vinicius surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage.

Fulham in talks over Vinicius sale

Vinicius has mustered eight goals and provided three assists in 48 matches since joining Fulham from Benfica in the summer of 2022.

The 29-year-old was sent out on loan to Galatasaray for the second half of last season and has not made the matchday squad for any of Fulham's three competitive games this season.

Vinicius has one year left on his contract with an option for Fulham to extend by a further 12 months, but there is a strong possibility that he will leave the club before the summer transfer deadline.

According to The Athletic, Fulham are currently in negotiations with Brazilian side Bragantino over a potential transfer.

While a deal has not been finalised, there is a belief that an agreement could be struck for around the €3m (£2.5m) mark.

Who else could leave Craven Cottage?

Vinicius is not the only Fulham player who could be sold before the transfer deadline, with full-back Kevin Mbabu said to be on the verge of leaving the club.

As per the Evening Standard, the Switzerland international is close to joining Danish champions FC Midtjylland on a two-year deal.

Fulham have held positive talks with Midtjylland and Mbabu is now expected to fly to Denmark on Thursday to undergo a medical.

Mbabu has made just seven competitive appearances since joining Fulham from German side Wolfsburg in the summer of 2022.

The 29-year-old spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Servette and joined Augsburg on loan for the duration of last season.
