Fulham manager Martin Jol has revealed that he is confident Brede Hangeland will sign a new contract with the club.
The 31-year-old Norwegian international's current deal at Craven Cottage will expire at the end of the season.
"We are talking to quite a few players [over new contracts]," Jol told reporters. "He is one of them. It's about him but we are talking so it's a positive thing and he wants to stay here. That's good."
Hangeland joined the Cottagers from FC Copenhagen in January 2008.
