Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has revealed that he has enjoyed his loan spell at Fulham, but does not know where his future lies.
The 23-year-old has scored 12 goals for the Cottagers this season, leading the club to promotion to the Premier League.
The Serbian international's loan at Fulham has technically come to an end, but Mitrovic is not ruling out a return to the club.
"I've loved my time here and I don't know what's going to happen after. But why not stay? Maybe," Mitrovic told reporters after the playoff final on Saturday.
"I want to focus on the game on Saturday, then I have time to rest and focus on the World Cup. I needed the gametime so that's why I came here. I needed to be on the pitch, to score goals and to have the feeling that I have now.
"I needed to get confidence - especially because of the World Cup, but also because of myself. I feel good and honestly I have never been in better shape in the whole of my career."
Fulham will join Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City in ascending to the Premier League next season.
