Injury-time goal gives Genoa win

Genoa score an injury-time winner to take all three points in a 3-2 win over Lazio in Serie A this afternoon.

Genoa secured all three points in a 3-2 win over Lazio, thanks to a dramatic injury-time winner.

Marco Borriello put Genoa ahead after 16 minutes, finishing calmly to make it 1-0.

Senad Lulic had the chance to give Lazio an equaliser on 21 minutes, but his effort went just wide of the mark.

Andrea Bertolacci then doubled the home side's lead a minute later to give Lazio a mountain to climb.

Lazio struggled to create any clear-cut chances as Genoa's defence stood firm to break down their advances.

The away side finally pulled a goal back on 58 minutes when Lulic played in Sergio Floccari, who put the ball in off the bar.

The referee then gave Lazio a penalty on 81 minutes to give them the chance to pull level and Stefano Mauri did not disappoint from the spot.

However, Marco Rigoni gave Genoa a late winner in injury time to secure all three points.
