Team News: Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli starts for AC Milan

Liverpool loanee Mario Balotelli starts up front for AC Milan in their trip to Genoa.

Mario Balotelli has been included in the AC Milan starting lineup for today's trip to Genoa.

The striker, who is on loan from Liverpool, will partner Luiz Adriano in attack, which in turn has consigned Colombia international Carlos Bacca to the bench.

Elsewhere, Ignazio Abate is still sidelined through injury, meaning that 18-year-old Davide Calabria will continue to deputise in the right-back position.

As for the home team, they are without striker Goran Pandev and defender Issa Cissokho because of suspension.

However, head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has been able to call upon centre-forward Leonardo Pavoletti following his return to fitness.

Genoa: Lamanna; De Maio, Burdisso, Marchese; Figueiras, Rincon, Dzemaili, Laxalt; Capel, Pavoletti, Perotti
Subs: Ujkani, Ierardi, Gakpe, Izzo, Lazovic, Tachtsidis, Raul Asensio, Lazovic, Ntcham

AC Milan: Lopez; Calabria, Zapata, Romagnoli, De Sciglio; De Jong, Montolivo, Bertolacci, Bonaventura; Luiz Adriano, Balotelli
Subs: Abbiati, Donnarumma, Alex, Antonelli, Ely, Kucka, Nocerino, Poli, Suso, Honda, Bacca, Cerci
