Monday's Nations League predictions including Germany vs. Netherlands

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Nations League fixtures, including Germany vs. Netherlands.

Georgia vs. Albania (Monday, 5.00pm)

Georgia will be bidding to return to winning ways when they continue their 2024-25 UEFA Nations League campaign with a clash against Albania on Monday night.

The hosts will enter the match off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Ukraine, but they remain top of Group 1 in League B, while Albania are third, with the visitors losing 2-0 to the Czech Republic in their last game.

We say: Georgia 1-0 Albania

This is a tough match to call, with Albania certainly capable of picking up a positive result, but Georgia will be bidding to bounce back from a disappointing result last time out, and we are backing the hosts to navigate their way to all three points.

Azerbaijan vs. Slovakia (Monday, 5.00pm)

Slovakia will be aiming to return to winning ways in Group 1 of League C in the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League when they make the trip to Azerbaijan on Monday night.

The visitors are currently second in the section, level on points (seven) with leaders Sweden, while Azerbaijan are at the bottom of the pile, yet to pick up a point from their three fixtures.

We say: Azerbaijan 0-2 Slovakia

Azerbaijan boss Santos will have a plan in mind to stop Slovakia, but the visitors have so much talent throughout their side, and we are struggling to see a scenario which does not involve Slovakia securing all three points.

Belgium vs. France (Monday, 7.45pm)

Neighbours Belgium and France meet for the second time in the space of a month on matchday four in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night.

France have recovered from an opening day defeat by winning their last two, while Belgium have slipped from first to third since their win over Israel on matchday one.

We say: Belgium 1-2 France

In more testing environments, France have not been great recently, with just six wins in 90 minutes across their last 14 matches, but they should just have enough to beat a weakened Belgium side here.

When playing 11 versus 11 against Italy, Belgium could not compete, and the 2-0 defeat in Lyon last month suggests they could struggle again here, despite home advantage.

Italy vs. Israel (Monday, 7.45pm)

After a moment of madness saw them settle for a point last time out, Italy aim to extend their reign at the top of League A Group 2 on Monday evening, when they host UEFA Nations League foes Israel to Udine.

The Azzurri were apparently coasting to victory before going down to 10 men against Belgium in Rome, while their rock-bottom visitors were well beaten by France.

We say: Italy 2-1 Israel

While their winning run ended on Thursday, it looks like Italy have re-found their rhythm since the Euros, so they should be too good for limited opponents in Udine.

Israel have scored in each game so far, though, and they could find the net despite suffering a fourth straight defeat in Group 2.

Bosnia H'vina vs. Hungary (Monday, 7.45pm)

Bosnia-Herzegovina and Hungary will look to claim their first win of the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League when they face off in Zenica on Monday.

Having mustered one point from three matches, the hosts are leading Group A3, while the visitors are one point better off in third position.

We say: Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1 Hungary

Bosnia may have lost eight of their last nine international, but their only draw in that period did take place in their reverse fixture against Hungary, and we think the two nations could play out another draw in Monday's clash in Zenica.

Germany vs. Netherlands (Monday, 7.45pm)

The next instalment of the rivalry between Germany and Netherlands takes place in Munich in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night.

After sharing the spoils in Amsterdam last month, the two meet once again in one of the fiercest international football derbies that stretches back 50 years.

We say: Germany 3-1 Netherlands

Both scored five on matchday one and served up an exciting draw a few days later in Amsterdam, so there is nothing to suggest that these two will not produce another thrilling encounter.

The Dutch looked insipid against Hungary though, and were fortunate to come away with a point, so the Germans are understandably favourites here, sitting top of the section and benefiting from home advantage.

Ukraine vs. Czech Republic (Monday, 7.45pm)

Ukraine will be bidding to make it back-to-back wins in Group 1 of League B when they continue their 2024-25 UEFA Nations League campaign against the Czech Republic on Monday night.

The Blue and Yellows recorded a 1-0 victory over Georgia on Friday, while the Czech Republic will enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 success over Albania, which has left them second in the section.

We say: Ukraine 1-1 Czech Republic

This is a really tricky match to call, with both sides picking up impressive wins last time out. Czech Republic shaded their contest in September, but we are expecting a very close game on Monday, with the points potentially being shared.

Iceland vs. Turkey (Monday, 7.45pm)

Following a spirited second-half fightback last time out, Iceland can draw level with League B Group 4 leaders Turkey when they meet in the UEFA Nations League on Monday.

While the hosts salvaged a point from their game against Wales, the Crescent-Stars moved clear at the top with a late winner at home to Montenegro.

We say: Iceland 1-1 Turkey

After an excellent second-half showing on Friday night, Iceland can take the fight to Turkey and come out of a close-fought contest with at least one point.

The visitors' squad is packed with attacking talent, but they do not tend to fare well away from home and may have to settle for a draw at Laugardalsvollur.

Wales vs. Montenegro (Monday, 7.45pm)

Craig Bellamy, Wales head coach: Wednesday July 10, 2024© Imago

Having let a two-goal lead slip last time out, Wales will be intent on claiming maximum points as they continue their UEFA Nations League campaign against Montenegro on Monday.

The Dragons are still strong contenders for promotion from League B Group 4, but their latest visitors to Cardiff City Stadium seem relegation bound and are yet to pick up a point.

We say: Wales 1-0 Montenegro

Having shown signs of promise under new management, Wales should have sufficient firepower to see off a Montenegro side that has struggled to score goals this year.

The hosts were impressive in their last run-out at Cardiff City Stadium, falling just short of beating Group 4 leaders Turkey, so they are more than a match for ailing opponents.

Estonia vs. Sweden (Monday, 7.45pm)

Estonia coach Jurgen Henn, September 2024© Imago

Sweden will look to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League when they travel to Tallinn for Monday's clash with Estonia.

Meanwhile, the hosts will be looking to claim a second straight win after getting the better of Azerbaijan on matchday three.

We say: Estonia 1-3 Sweden

Sweden have only won three of their 10 away Nations League matches, but we still believe they will take three points from Monday's fixture, having won each of their previous five meetings with Estonia, including a 5-0 victory in their most recent away encounter in September 2023.
