Joachim Loew says that Germany will improve against Greece in the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.

Germany manager Joachim Loew has insisted that his side will improve after they advanced to the quarter-finals of Euro 2012.

A 2-1 win over Denmark was enough to ensure that the Germans progressed to the last eight of the tournament as group winners and maintains their 100% record at the competition. The 1996 champions dominated the game for long periods but Loew feels that they can play even better.

"We showed maturity in the second half, but we can still improve. We lacked the killer instinct," said Loew.

"The match was just as tough as we thought it would be.

"We lacked the killer instinct in the first half, which would have made it easier, and then Denmark scored. We knew we could have gone out if we had gone behind, so nerves crept in."

Germany will face Greece in the knockout stages after they advanced from Group A as runners-up.
