Holland midfielder Mark van Bommel has claimed that Germany are the current favourites to win the 2012 European Championships.
The 34-year-old was speaking after Joachim Loew's side defeated the Dutch 3-0 in a friendly encounter yesterday evening.
"I say it straight as it is: Germany are the favourites for Euro 2012," Van Bommel told Goal.com.
"Germany managed to play lightning fast in front of our goal. It looked good from them, sure. We simply brought too little, which is unfortunate."
Van Bommel currently plays his club football for Italian champions AC Milan.
