Report: Joachim Low close to new three-year contract

Report: Low close to new Germany deal

Germany head coach Joachim Low has reportedly moved a step closer to signing a new three-year contract.

Low ended Germany's 24-year wait for a World Cup by guiding his side to victory in Brazil last summer, and he has managed to reach the semi-finals of every tournament since replacing Jurgen Klinsmann in 2006.

The 55-year-old's current deal expires after Euro 2016, but the German Football Association is keen to keep him in charge until the next World Cup in Russia, according to Bild.

Low has been locked in negotiations for a number of weeks, and the report claims that a new deal could be confirmed later this month.
