Julian Draxler: Faroe Islands win step in "right direction"

Julian Draxler is pleased that Germany managed to get past the defensive Faroe Islands and move potentially one game away from the World Cup.

Germany winger Julian Draxler has said that he is pleased that his side's 3-0 win over the Faroe Islands has moved them to the brink of qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

Draxler said that it was a struggle for Germany to break down their opponents, but that the victory was well deserved.

"When they have ten men behind the ball, it's hard to find a breakthrough," Draxler told Bundesliga.com. "The win is a step in the right direction on the road to Brazil."

Draxler has been capped seven times by Germany and has scored one goal.
