Cosmin Contra vows to play attractive football

New Getafe boss Cosmin Contra, who replaced Luis Garcia at the helm on Monday, says that his side will play "good football" in the latter stages of the season.

New Getafe boss Cosmin Contra has vowed that his side will play "good football" in the latter stages of the season.

Contra recently replaced Luis Garcia at the helm of the capital outfit, who have not won in La Liga since beating Levante at the end of November 2013.

"I like good football, being attacking and that the team presses opponents. Certainly, we're going to play football, create chances, maintain our intensity and that way, fans will come to the stadium," he told reporters at his official unveiling.

"I'm the type of manager who looks at the qualities of the players and tries to choose the best formation possible, so what I set out could change each game.

"I don't need to adapt, because I already feel at home here and on Friday, we want to win. I believe that my personality will be enough to get us going."

Contra has signed a deal with Getafe, who sit 16th in La Liga, until 2016.
