Sporting Gijon took a step closer to relegation from La Liga on Saturday as they were beaten 2-0 at Getafe.
The home side took the lead in the 22nd minute as Miku found the net with a header from Jaime Gavilan's cross.
Gavilan was the provider again two minutes after half time when he set up Diego Castro to score.
Gijon are now seven points adrift of safety having played a game more than the teams around them.
