Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell sidelined for three weeks

Gillingham confirm that striker Danny Kedwell will be out of action for around three weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

Gillingham striker Danny Kedwell has been sidelined a further three weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

The 31-year-old, who has found the net four times so far this season, has been out of action since the end of August.

"Danny is going to be out for about three weeks," Gills boss Peter Taylor is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "If it goes well it will be three weeks. He'll carry on doing a lot of work."

Gillingham are currently in 11th place in the League One table with 11 points from their opening eight games of the campaign.
