Gillingham have confirmed the signing of defender Ryan Jackson from Newport County on a two-year deal.
The move sees the 24-year-old reunited with former County boss Justin Edinburgh.
Jackson had the chance to stay at Rodney Parade, but he turned down a contract extension with the Welsh club.
"I am delighted to get Ryan on board," Edinburgh told Gillingham's official website. "He was an excellent performer during my time with Newport and I look forward to working with him once again here at Gillingham."
Jackson is Gillingham's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Elliott List and Emanuel Osadebe.
