Gillingham have signed striker Cody McDonald on a two-year deal from Coventry City.
McDonald has agreed to end his deal with the Sky Blues by mutual consent to allow him to join Gillingham, and boss Martin Allen is delighted to re-sign the 27-year-old, who scored four goals in seven matches during a loan spell with the Gills last season.
Allen told the club's official website: "Cody is a match winner, he scores goals and in his loan period, on and off the field, he conducted himself in the right way.
"He works hard and the chairman has worked for the last couple of months to get this deal done."
McDonald also spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Gillingham, scoring 25 goals in 43 appearances.
