Ipswich Town youngster Elliott Hewitt has been sent out on a one-month loan to Gillingham.
The 19-year-old Wales Under-21 international began the season as Ipswich's starting right-back in the Championship but hasn't played since the end of August after Christophe Berra joined the club, forcing Luke Chambers to shift over to right-back.
He is now eligible to appear for Gillingham against Sheffield United in League One on Saturday. He is not, however, able to play in the FA Cup replay against Brackley Town on Monday as he wasn't present for the first leg.
Hewitt joined Ipswich at the end of the 2011-12 season after coming through the youth system at Macclesfield Town.
