Two teams currently on an upward trajectory go head-to-head at De Adelaarshorst on Sunday as Go Ahead Eagles entertain the challenge of Heracles in round eight of the 2024-25 Eredivisie season.
The home side will be looking to pick up a third victory in four matches this weekend, while their visitors go in search of win number three on the bounce.
We say: Go Ahead Eagles 1-0 Heracles
There is little to choose between the teams leading up to this one, and Sunday's clash could easily swing either way.
That said, we just about tip Go Ahead Eagles to make home advantage count and narrowly edge out their visitors.

Heerenveen vs. PEC Zwolle (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Off the back of contrasting results last time out, Heerenveen and PEC Zwolle will do battle at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Sunday afternoon.
The home side are unbeaten in six straight matches against the visitors leading up to this weekend's affair and will fancy their chances of coming away with a positive outcome in this one.
We say: Heerenveen 2-0 PEC Zwolle
Heerenveen have been near-perfect in front of their fans this term, and given Zwolle's poor record on the road, everything points to a routine win for Robin van Persie's men in this one.

Feyenoord vs. FC Twente (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Arguably the pick of the gameweek eight fixtures in the Eredivisie this weekend will see Feyenoord facing off against FC Twente at Stadion Feijenoord on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts have managed 10 points from their first six matches of the season, while the visitors are four points ahead of them, though they have played seven games so far.
We say: Feyenoord 1-1 FC Twente
While Feyenoord have the home advantage here, they have yet to find top gear this season and have only won one of their three matches at this venue. Twente, on the other hand, have been steadily improving week on week, and we feel they will be able to take at least a share of the spoils from this one.

Ajax vs. Groningen (Sunday, 3.45pm)

The penultimate match of gameweek eight in the Eredivisie will come from Amsterdam's Johan Cruijff Arena, where Ajax will be playing host to Groningen on Sunday evening.
The hosts have only played five games this season but have managed 10 points, good for fifth place in the league standings, while the visitors are ninth with nine points in seven games.
We say: Ajax 2-1 Groningen
Despite Ajax's lengthy injury list, they have maintained an excellent record at home this season, and given the visitors' recent results and historic performances in this fixture, we feel the hosts should be able to come away with all three points.

Sittard vs. AZ (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Fortuna Sittard and AZ Alkmaar draw the curtain on round eight of the 2024-25 Eredivisie season with a meeting at the Fortuna Sittard Stadion on Sunday evening.
Neither team managed to pick up three points from their last outings as the home side played out a share of the spoils, while their visitors suffered a first defeat this term.
We say: Fortuna Sittard 1-3 AZ Alkmaar
AZ Alkmaar have hit a bump in the road of late, but this weekend's game offers them a perfect chance at regaining some confidence.
We fully expect the visitors to come away with maximum points when all is said and done here.
