Half-Time Report: Javier Pastore gives Paris Saint-Germain half-time advantage over Guingamp

Paris Saint-Germain earn a 1-0 half-time lead over visitors Guingamp in Ligue 1, thanks to Javier Pastore's memorable first-half effort from distance.

Javier Pastore's standout strike has given Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 half-time lead over visitors Guingamp in Ligue 1 this evening.

Laurent Blanc's men caused problems from the off as David Luiz picked out Edinson Cavani inside the box, leaving Jonas Lossl to pull off a memorable save at the top-right corner after just four minutes.

The hosts took the lead with their next major chance in the 18th minute, as Pastore moved the ball out from underneath him before driving home an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner from distance.

The Parisians looked to assert their authority with another goal only for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be denied by Lossl, this time as the stopper got down low to keep out the Swede's effort.

Guingamp sought to make use of what chances they had and Yannis Salibur almost brought them level, but he was denied by a clever save from Kevin Trapp at his top-left corner.
