Johan Djourou strike snatches Hamburg victory

Johan Djourou scores late on as Hamburger SV come from behind to beat 10-man Stuttgart.

Hamburger SV scored twice in the final 10 minutes to earn victory against 10-man Stuttgart.

Stuttgart started brightly with Christian Gentner failing to convert two early headed opportunities, before they took the lead after 23 minutes when Daniel Ginczek converted from Daniel Didavi's measured pass.

Ivo Ilicevic missed two opportunities to draw the home side level before the Croatian midfielder finally found the net 10 minutes before half time to equalise.

However, Stuttgart retook the lead just eight minutes later when Gentner fed Ginczek, who converted his second goal of the evening from virtually the same position as the first.

Florian Klein picked up two yellow cards in the space of three minutes shortly after the restart to set up a nervy second half for the away side as they looked to close out victory.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga appeared to have earned a point for Hamburg with six minutes remaining, but Johan Djourou scored in the 89th minute to seal a dramatic victory.
