Team News: Rafael van der Vaart on Hamburger SV bench

Rafael van der Vaart only makes the bench for Hamburger SV's away trip to Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

Rafael van der Vaart has been named on the bench for Mirko Slomka's second game in charge of Hamburger SV, as Hakan Calhanoglu - who scored a wonder free kick against Borussia Dortmund - continues behind Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

There is just one change for the visitors from the thumping win over Dortmund, as Dennis Diekmeier comes into the defence in place of Heiko Westermann.

For the home team Werder Bremen Aaron Hunt has been deemed fit enough to start and he takes his place in the midfield, although there is only room on the bench for Eljero Elia.

Werder: Wolf; Ignjovski, Prodl, Lukimya, Garcia; Bargfrede, Junuzovic, Obraniak, Hunt; Di Santo, Petersen

Hamburg: Adler; Diekmeier, Djourou, Rajkovic, Jansen; Rincon, Badelj, Arslan, Jiracek; Calhanoglu; Lasogga
