Hibernian loss confirms Hearts as Scottish Championship winners

Hearts are confirmed as Scottish Championship winners after Hibernian lost to Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Hearts have been crowned as Scottish Championship winners, following Hibernian's 2-0 loss to Rangers at Easter Road.

Hibernian had to win to keep their title hopes alive, but goals from former Hearts player Lee Wallace and former Hibee Kenny Miller finally confirmed the Tynecastle club as champions after creating an unassailable 23-point lead at the top of the table.

Hearts have been in terrific form throughout the season, dropping just nine points and losing only once in 29 league matches, and beat Falkirk 3-0 yesterday.

They were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last season following financial difficulties, but will return in a healthier position after the takeover of Ann Budge last year.
