Hearts attacking midfielder Ryan Stevenson is sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring tear.

Hearts attacking midfielder Ryan Stevenson has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring tear.

The 29-year-old suffered the injury during his side's 4-1 defeat at Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

The Scot will now be out of action until the New Year as Hearts continue to battle against relegation.

The league's bottom-placed team continue their campaign on Saturday when they play host to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
