Gary Oliver joins Queen of the South

Striker Gary Oliver signs with Scottish Championship side Queen of the South from Hearts.

Hearts have announced that they have completed a deal to sell Gary Oliver to Scottish Championship side Queen of the South.

The 20-year-old, who has signed until the end of the season, moves to Palmerston, with Gavin Reilly heading in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

He told Hearts' website: "I just want to say thank you to the Hearts fans, coaches and staff. I'm leaving with many good memories and I'll miss the lads in the dressing room.

"I'm now looking forward to my new challenge at Queen of the South and playing regular football."

Oliver scored four goals in 23 appearances for Hearts and on loan at Stenhousemuir last season.
